Tran swap

Can a 1LE TR6060 fit a Zl1? Can't find a manual, grey, black wheels, ZL1. Even so I have 35k miles on mines and will lose a lot trade in value compared a brand new or low mile replacement. So a tranny swap is the only option I have left. It will come out cheaper if someone trade or sold parts rather than new but even new would be better than payin more for make up for value lost through mileage

Of course it will cost you more to go from a high mile Z to a new or low mile one. You could change to a M6 for what your auto is worth if they have close to the same miles.
Just a thought, good luck.

The 1LE trans is not a direct bolt up to a ZL1. They have different bolt patterns. The ZL1 is a heavier duty transmission and has totally different ratios. You would be best off putting a ZL1 manual on it if you just have to have a manual. I would not make the swap unless you have a lot of other upgrades in the car. You can probably sell your car and by a used ZL1 with a manual for a wash. The auto and manual have different driveshaft lengths, different rear gear ratios.... like I said unless you have a ton of bucks in the car already you don't want to swap the transmission. Buy one that came from the factory as a manual.

Cant find my exact color and wheel that I want in my area or surrounding area. I honestly wish I could go to my dealer and tell them to swap it with a manual. There are some in the area but most are black and don't think I want a black Z.

Also understand that it will cost me at least 4500 to do this swap and thats understandable if I am able to keep my car rather than trade and swap colors

Sorry, I meant trade the car instead of switching it over to a m6.
