Out With The Heat Trap

Took about 3 weeks of "hurry up and wait" to get all of the parts and pieces, but finally wrapped it all up today. Thanks to fellow members Vince.Cuevas, who did this last year to his car and JerTM, who knows the LS3 inside and out, for all the help with my questions along the way.

I'm glad I have something that looks good and doesn't trap heat with that blanketed engine cover anymore. Been meaning to do this for 3 years now

Thanks guys. These vette covers are a direct fit, but require some work and cleanup to fit. Went with factory Vette covers, a Katech Performance fuel feed line and had GS Creations do the custom raised lettering.

Heat trap? Pretty sure GM wouldn't put it on their cars if it actually made a difference

Thanks Mikamaro.

That may be Homeless Man, but I do some summer tracking, have always hated the blanketed factory cover. Plus, once you remove that factory Frankenstein fuel feed line and reroute it behind the intake, there's a beatiful LS3 waiting to be shown off

there is actually noise limit that the engine can make to pass the epa ( i think its the epa). they put 2 covers on the engine to make it more quiet. It does trap some heat. GM has to do a lot of things they would rather not do for the epa.

Gzobian, can you only add the corvette covers without rerouting cables?

You have to re route the fuel feed line, all else is voluntary
