Mine always had slow crank when worm like others have reported over the years with these but last year I added the ground cable from the starter to the frame up front and seems to have really helped. Still on stock size battery tho but do a voltage drop and see how much your loosing at the starter....if not sure how plenty info out there on google. Good Luck

The slow crank issue isnt a battery problem. Its a ground (as already mentioned) and/or heat problem. There are also aftermarket starters that supposedly don't have the issue (torquemaster XS and tilton heavy duty iirc).
This is a common issue on all 5th and 6th gen camaros.

Class action law suit on the starters as well.

But if it starts OK with the original battery the starter (and related) system is not the culprit. Put the original battery back in and eliminate grid area jump start annoyance.

I put the stock battery back in and zero issues so it's definitely the battery. I just think it loses too much juice going down that 15' cable to the starter.

It's the Deka ETX30L

400CCA is low for our cars. I'm looking at Lithium Ion options but aiming to be at least 600CCA if I can

Which headers did you take that are 18 lbs lighter?

I am headed in this direction first.
Moreno Brothers Group Buy crash bars.
Braille ML30c.
This is the battery used by Corvette Racing.
This is my 3rd Braille battery, the other 2 were ML20c used in a 914 and s2000.
The charger pictured is about 8-10 years old, its from Braille.

I can’t find the thread about the added starter to frame grounding cable. Need to get an supplies together to make mine.

$2100 for a battery? Nope. Nada. Negative. I'll just practice driving better! haha

Small update. I ordered a "planted technology" seat bracket and a kirkey race seat. Now I need a small piece of steel to fab up to mount the 2 pieces together. This combo sits significantly lower than the stock seat. I mocked it up, put my helmet on, and there's plenty of room between the helmet and the headliner. Probably saves 35lbs alone just on the drivers side.

Agree on the C6 Z06 since it’s much lighter plus having that LS7. Those cars are no joke and will rival some high HP cars today. Those C6 Z06s when modded especially with a heads/cam will definitely hurt feelings. The power to weight is crazy on those cars and a bang for the buck performance car that still kicks ass in stock form.
