Engine cover painted? the part under the actual engine cover.

Sorry dont know what its called. But I'm talking about the part thats under the actual engine cover, plastic piece thats on the engine intake manifold. Has anybody painted that part? If so would regular high temp paint work?

Save the paint and time and just get rid of it.

Theres like 3/4 of an inch of high density intake heat soaking blanket under there, toss the plastic and the foam. |Just cosmetic and sound deadener.

This thing holds heat in and is just extra weight.
