Not sure how often to change the oil but I believe they hold 19 quarts and I heard it costs $4,500 to change the oil. Have to drop motor out.

But for me it is going to be the ZL1, simply due to the 100K mile powertrain warranty. I would consider the Z06 Vette but my car often doubles as a truck when I need to get things done and the Vette has no space.

I'll just make the ZL1 a little extra cool...

I don't think hardly anyone realizes the performance potential of these ZL1 cars if the right tuner gets ahold of it. You would have to be a very good driver to out run me on the track with stock 911 S turbo, any stock lambo, and probably with the new Z06. Repairs and upgrades are so reasonable I don't even worry about the engine warranty. Even the most radical crazy triple disc carbon clutch costs less than the oil change on that lambo. ZL1 is a very good choice.

Along those lines, I think if you simply removed the air conditioning unit from the ZL1 that could possibly beat the Z28 on a curvy track race.œ

I'd get the Lambo for sure. yes, we all know the ZL1 is a sweet car but it's still technically a Camaro. how many people can say they own or drive a Lambo?

if anything else, I'd get the Lambo for the uniqueness alone. of course this is coming from someone who just ditched his ZL1 for a German car so go figure....

I'd choose whatever car made sense for me. I wouldn't concern myself with worrying about attention especially if it would affect my bank account. Random folks wouldn't be paying my car payment and every broke neck wouldnt automatically mean a deposit in my account either.

Go with what feels right.

I was in the same situation as you last year, I looked at everything out there & chose an ADM built ZL1 just like Jess Rayo. I looked at the cost of ownership on all the exotics, like you said with the $4,500 oil change, ownership is incredibly high. My car is far from stock but its a Chevy, parts are dirt cheap compared to other car makes. I was in a 1/2 mile race yesterday & was whipping exotics all day, I trapped 173.6 in the 1/2 mile. I can get parts for my car at AutoZone, heck there are parts on my pickup I could stick on my car in a pinch. Its a Chevy, you can fix it with a hammer & a crescent wrench, beat on it all day & if it breaks you won't have to take out a 2nd mortgage to fix it. The average 12 year old kid with a Lambo poster on his wall would know you had the old car, 10 year old exotics look like the guy was trying really hard to own one but can't afford a new one so he settled for an old one, they're so cutting edge that the old models age really bad the second a new model comes out. You won't regret the ZL1, plenty of attention with awesome performance.

Loaded '15 Z06 and rent a truck when you need one. Cost of maintenance on exotics is ridiculous, especially as they age and parts are harder to find.

ZL1 all the way.

1) Its rare enough that people in the know get wowed still.

2) 580HP with a warranty

3) That used farm tractor will cost you over twice the price in maintenance over a couple of years, used exotics carry exotic prices for parts.

If you don't care about a car bleeding you dry get the Lambo.
