ESE pushing through added Sub in a 2SS

Does anyone know how to shut off the ESE (Engine Sound Enhancement) on the 2SS models? I have put a sub in one, but it is piping the exhaust rumble through the sub...... 😡 I have seen a company or two reference it, but how to you shut it off or bypass it in the sub? Any thoughts?

It does not have electronic sound pumped through the stereo o. The 2ss. There is mechanical sound through the intake. The 4 cyl turbo cars were supposed to have a sound enhancement. I added subs with no issue. Sounds like you have some other issue going on. I would guess a ground problem.

What is the best way to loose the sound pumped through the intake? I don't think I will need it. Please advise.

I know on other cars that have had this you could simply remove the tube and plug it on the air intake.

Got any pictures of what this annoying sounding "feature" plug looks like. Looks like I have half a dozen things plugged into my intake.

I wish to agree with all of you, but engine sound is being pushed through the speakers. Using a rca converter attached to the rear speakers, it pushes a audible engine tone through the bass side. It's not a constant sound or a faulty ground sound, like with interference or high pitched whine. It is not present when the doors or trunk are opened, it is only present when the car is prepared to drive. I found that ******** has run into the same issue.

Where did you attach your leads for RCAs?

Sounds more like a bad ground or EMI. There is no engine sound pumped in to the speakers. Plus fake engine sounds in cars with it don't use only the sub. They use the all the speakers.

There is no electronic engine noise on v8s. 4 cyl only.

I am tracking that, and the ground was checked. What is confusing is it only does it when both doors are shut as well as the trunk. It is actually a low tone loping sound and increases pitch with accelerator movement, which has led me to asking about the ESE. I thought it was a bad connection, but everything else is solid. I even took a set of RCAs and connecting them to my other car..... And no extra sound. It is mind boggling at the moment.

But that doesn't eliminate your signal wires in the car, just the sub and amp you are using. What did you splice into for RCAs? We are kind of in new territory here. Not sure anyone has sub setup in the 2SS yet. If they do, no one has mentioned issues.
