I forwarded the pics to Brembo. Just got an email back from them. They state that..
“It’s likely they’re used for noise defeat. These will often defeat harmonic distortion a.k.a brake squeal.” |

As long as GM fixes the problem with a new set of calipers or pads....then I will not complain much...But they have to fix it, no question about that.
