Things I learned from painting my bezels ... Tips
Using a trim tool makes the job easier.
Pop out the bottoms first, the tops slip out easily after that. SAND DOWN the plastic "chrome" with a fine sandpaper BEFORE painting. (I didn't) DON'T paint the tabs, tape them off ... paint on the tabs makes them harder to reinstall. (Ask me how I know) Use a "plastic friendly" paint ... KRYLON Fuzion* works great. TAKE YOUR TIME PAINTING ... several light coats are better than fewer heavy ones. (I didn't, I got over-excited and rushed the job - now I'm probably going to have to pull them again, sand them and repaint them) Make sure it's not too cold out. (It was a bit chilly out when I did mine)

I didn't do any sanding to the chrome, just cleaned it with alcohol. I used CGM paint from Automotivetouchup.com.
It's been 7 years now. I did notice some chips in the top corners this summer that I blame on the new bumper install, but the chrome isn't showing and I would need a new can of spray, so I've been putting it off. P.S. My dirt is dirtier than your dirt! Image was captured just after a 2 week road trip.

We have these bezels available, they matte black plastic so no painting.
