I just returned from a trip from Central Florida to Blairsville, GA. Most of the trip was spent on I-75 in Georgia. I have never seen so many police cars in my life. There were plenty of State Troopers but even more County boys. Also, the speed limit drops from 70 to 65 mph quite often for no apparent reason. It drops even lower in construction zones which is a great idea.

Moral of the story: Watch your speed or help finance the state of Georgia.

Was stationed at Moody AFB, GA (Valdosta) for 6 years in one of the Air Force Security Forces units (military police). They will write their own mother a j-walking ticket and taz her for talking back. Just a warning. Sad I can't make it, but my wife will be there to have a reunion with friends, family and 500 Camaro buddies

Basic Speed Rule: No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions and having regard for the actual and potential hazards than existing. §40-6-180

Me: "Your honor I felt 100mph was very prudent at the time."
Judge: "You're and idiot. Bailiff cuff him and crush his car into a cube."
Me: "Dang."

Just got back from a trip to Snellville Ga. I must say Many Drivers down there drive like Fools!.. One idiot on a Crotch rocket cut between me and another car almost side swiping me while I was in the middle of changing lanes after passing a car, and then went up and passed the two cars in front of me that were side by side by going through the middle between them. He must have done that behind me to get up to my position because there were two cars side by side bhind me too... To beat it all he was just going to the next exit to get off. If I has just started changing lanes 2 seconds earlier, he would have been road pizza and I would have had a torn up Camaro.. By the way, the speed limit was 70 and I was doing about 73..
Right after that some woman in a Mercedes Came flying up on me and got so close to my rear bumper all I could see was her face, I was behind a truck and there were 4 or 5 cars in the left lane, so she had nowhere to go.. there was no call for her to come up on me at that high a closing rate...
Only saw 2 cops in Ga....they already had cars pulled over.

Self-Explanatory. 78 and 124 are the two worst roads to drive on in Georgia, and guess where they intersect?

It was on I-85

If the speed limit says 70 , do 79, if it is 55 do 64 Just keep it 9mph or less and they will not bother you, and those of you with illegal tint beware also, see a cop hit the windows halfway, if they can see your eyes you are in the clear

The local Florida Hwy Patrol will NOT give you 9 over. Anything over 4 or 5 over is considered wreckless driving. The good folks at the FHP have seen too many accidents and want to slow you down to save your life.

Be careful out there.

I got pulled tonight not sure how fast he never told me since I knew his LT and he pulled up when he heard the call and gave me my license back. told me to slow down and I would have gone to jail so I am gonna be good on the way to C5 maybe

In Alabama from mile marker 182 until the Georgia line on I-20 it's 55, yes boys and girls 55 and they are not giving you but about 3 or 4 over, went to Atl this past weekend and they were stopping them 5 at a time, radar man on the overpass radioing to his buddies and it was literally 5 at a time. The off ramp was lined with state troopers, so beware.

The "Nine your fine; 10 your mine" is not observed too often anymore. And I-75 is no joke when it comes to Troopers.

I say with the convoys we have coming down we should stick with the speed limit...because the end cars will be doing a bit faster just to keep up IMO...
