Upper and Lower Pulley combinations.
What is the biggest lower pulley you can combine with a 2.5 upper, before it starts to get unsafe?

9.1" lower + 2.55" upper is the max

8.66 is just below the safe limit which will be 28% overdriving the supercharger wirh the 2.55 upper , the safety limit is 30% . anything more than that is risky .I Dont know if you could go above that with the excuse of a cam/headers (since they drop boost) , will it be safe or not . not sure ...

I did look at that LSA pulley chart that sometimes floats around the forum. I saw anything above 30% was considered unsafe, but it also says if the engine RPMs are greater than 6500. The LSA redlines at 6200rpm, so you should still be safe, right?

Most tuners set the rpm limit to 6500 , so when you tune it will be shifting @ 6500rpm...

LSA is way past torque peak at 6500rpm...shift more like 6000-6100 unless you have swapped the cam.

Yeah, I figured if the stock tune on an A6 is set up to shift at 5800 in Drive mode and 6000 in Sport mode, then that's probably what's best. I've redlined a few times, shifting at 6200 with the paddles and it's not as good. You can't beat the shifts in Sport mode.
