Damn trap speed tells it all. It's putting some power down for sure. If Ford gets their sh*t together and make a 6.2L version of the Coyote, it will truly take a giant crap on ever other V8 n/a powered car. Same power efficiency in a 6.2L package would net an easy 580bhp. Complicated or not, the Coyote 5.0L is one hell of a stout little engine.

All GM needs to do is make a high content overhead cam V8 engine like the delightful 2016 3.6 V6 in the Camaro . If The coyote was a pushrod 2 valve engine, it would be a slug.

That's what I was hoping the new LT5 would be. Unfortunately, it just turned out to be another LT4 like pushrod engine with a larger blower on it.

It's amazing what Ford has been able to accomplish with the "5.0" displacement. DOHC, VVT, direct injection and now port injection all add to the impressive power figures. Not much torque down low, but it does become a monster in the mid to upper rpm range.
