I know where you run 08-G35, that typically the DA is pretty bad and the times a slower than normal, but you say it was just 500DA this time.

How was the track prep?

That's a quick G35 to keep up with the L99. Thanks for the vids.

On a crappy 1/8 track (County Line) in my near stock L99 (just a C.A.I.), the best I could do was an 8.626 @ 83.6mph w/ 60' of 2.118 and the next best was a 8.635 @ 82.5mph w/ 60' of 2.073... I'ved only been to the track 2x so far so still a ways for me to get sub 2sec 60' consistently.

That track sux and I can't believe it was only 500DA. His 2.1 60ft was probably due more to the track and not the driver. There is also no way to avoid the water box so your pretty much forced to put water on the starting line which hurts you even more. Even with a hefty burnout on my DR's I cant load my converter on that track and because I have never been able to load my converter the best 60ft with DR's I have seen at that track is a low 1.8 60ft. Best DA I have ever seen there when I went in Fall weather was 2500. I can also agree that the L99 is kinda slow without a tune plus it gets knocked into low octane mode fairly easily with our crap 91 octane.

My friend ran consistent 12.9's on your same tires in his 2010 3V Mustang GT auto(stock with tune and Nitto 555R's plus LCA's).

His is the blue one.

The grey car is the 5.0.

4:20 is bolt on 5.0 on Drag radials versus 392 Charger(he was doing 12.6 stock!)

7:15 is that 4.6 3v on Drag radials vs 5.0 on drag radials.

Best run of the night was this C5 Corvette! He was running .1-.2 tenths faster but trapping the same ! It was hilarious and sad at the same time!

He did 13.6 @ 102.2 this run, I did 13.8 @ 102.4 mph. He had faster reaction time though. He sounds like he has a baby cam! He was the same speed as a Ford Lightning at the track that was doing 13.5-13.6.

Here's the same corvette at thunder valley few weeks back

Here's my friends full bolt on L99, his best time was 13.4 @ 105 at the TV, but he was doing 13.5-13.7.... He has CAI/Tune/Headers and full exhaust. Obviously on 22's though.

Here's the run with the stage 2. G35 is car 254, short shifted into 4th gear.... hence 100 trap instead of 102-103.

The g35's are pretty quick, but nowhere near SS territory. Practically it is V6 territory.
I don't think you understand... This is a VQ35HR 2nd gen G sedan. It's a good full second faster out of the box then previous VQ35DE iterations of the G sedan. The record for stock auto G sedan is 13.09 @ 106.2; that's much closer to the SS record stock then it is the V6 Camaro record for stock.

This has VQ37, puts down about 40 more whp(hence 4 mph higher trap) then the VQ35HR in this G35(260 vs 300). This also has 7-speed auto to make better use of those extra ponies. Last night this G37 would've been a 13.0-13.4(13.4 at the minimum) car. Guys I only say this because I was .1 tenth of a second away from breaking the all time stock g35 auto 1/4 mile record!

Yeah, the only reason they were open was because of the film crew for the Speed Channel and ESPN2.... Normally it would be too cold(below 50).

My friend's bolt on 2011 5.0 on Drag radials did 13.0 @ 108 with 1.8 60 foot... I would say 13.5 is good time for a bone stock L99 auto?

My friend's SRT8 Charer with cai/cat and muffler delete/tune does 13.3-13.6.
