Deciding on an exhaust

So I recently got a 2013 2SS, and cosmetics have been done. The mod I saved for last was going to be a Borla ATAK catback exhaust, but after the new exhaust laws, I’m not so sure I would pass an official referee. Anyone have any details on the acuual laws, and whether a 2013 SS equipped with the Borla ATAK could pass? I’ve heard great things about a quiet idle but whether the test is at 2500 RPM or 4800, I’m not too sure it would be under 95 dB. Any suggestions or advice would be great.
Thanks,
Shoval

So I had to get state reffed a few years back. I was stock with the NPP dual mode. I had the fuse pulled and it was going over the 95 dB range, something like 101. I put the fuse back in and they retested and it read exactly 95 dB. Im not sure 100% sure but I believe Borla ATAK is louder than NPP. Anyways, hope my experience helps you make your decision

Stock NPP is a great system, you can make it loud or muffled if you want to, makes good power too and no drone.

So 85 in open mode or closed? 95 is supposed to be pretty loud

Agreed. I have heard the Borla Atak and it is too loud for close neighbors and CARB.
I went with Magnaflow competition axle back on my 15 and now on my 17. Leave the rest of the system alone!
