That sounds interesting, I was laughing on my way out that "dealer" was a appropriate name, given the same overtone as drug dealer. Every time I hear someone say "my dealer" I just pretend thats what they are talking about and all their sentences still make sense either way.

Sounds like the "best way" is NOT Parkway! (Thats their tagline). Maybe we should infrom them they are now officially on the price gouging dealers list.

I'm waiting for the new Classic Chevy in Houston to show up on the VIN list.

What I never understood is why Saturn can have a no-haggle policy with some teeth but other GM brands couldn't.

So is this guy screwing with me or what?

Thanks for input
That decision is up to the dealer, to answer your question, yes, I would move on and contact other dealers

Why is it companies can mark up any other product, but when they mark up a car they are idiots, grow up people
Buyers have a choice to pay the marked up price or not, fault the buyers if you want to be pissed at someone.

I'll go with the person willing to pay. Some people have the money and it really doesn't matter what they pay. Others just don't realize they can find a legit dealer if they looked. It's just sad most dealers feel they need to mark-up anything.

If you are willing to make the drive back from Florida, my dealer still has 3 allocations left.

Saturn isn't exactly GM's bread and butter either. Customer's love to haggle so they feel like they got a great deal. That's just the way it is.

Must admit I had never seen this till I came to US

The laws of supply and demand seem to be gleefully employed by some dealers - but as some folks are saying - this is no way to build trust in a poor economy and with a struggling GM.

Clearly the message is find another dealer.

If I cant get the car at MSRP I will wait. Hopefully that means getting
more of the accessories I'd really like and if the lines are THAT long then I may even get that HUD ;-) - and my daughter will be happy since it means I continue to "invest" in my long suffering '94 Z28 which she keeps reminding me she has first dibs on when new Camaro arrives
