I think everyone is just grinding them because as far as I know no one is doing a lot of daily driving on the 17" rims. But everytime I mount the rims I check the bolt because sometimes the bolt rotates a little.

I am also wondering, in a pinch, if the front skinny would fit and be able to be used on the back for a short period of time to avoid having to call a tow truck driver in the event of catastrophic tire failure.

Another thought... might Weld make a cheaper version of the rim from your knowledge (plain black steel) that would suffice and not be a $400+ rim!??

Thanks for any input on this and appreciate the feedback!

Tire setup looks great for drag racing too!

Can anyone reply on this issue? I would like to order one too if it would work as a spare both on the front and the back of the car.
