Good to see I'm not the only one who uses a blower.

My son gets a kick out of watching me use the leaf blower to dry my car.

My detail guy likes warm air to dry the car quickly and prevent hard water spots

Can't get water spots if you evaporate them immediately.

I'd be worried about evaporating everything including the car using that bad boy.

Just started using a leaf blower two washes ago. Never doing it without one after that. Before, one drying towel (meguire's, hope to get an Adam's soon) wasn't enough and I'd end up using 2-3 more regular MF towels to finish up. Now, as soon as my last rinse I spray the entire thing down with detail spray (currently griots garage which is GREAT but I'm trying adams soon) then attack with leaf blower. The remaining water is so easy to wipe off.

Never going back to not using a blower!

That's kind of an unusual method. Usually if you're using air, you just blow off the water and then go over any trouble areas with a spritz of DS and your drying towel. I don't really see the purpose of spraying the whole car down if you're not using a towel on the whole thing. In fact, I would think that the method you use would leave some residue on the car. DS isn't meant to be sprayed on and left to dry (which is what the leaf blower does). It's meant to be spread with a towel.

Could save you some money on product use. Of course, do what works best for you, there are many ways to get to the same goal.

I think I didn't explain it right...

I end up going over the entire car and wiping it down anyway as I don't have an extension cord so the leaf blower can reach the entire car. Plus the leaf blower I have isn't all that strong. It takes away enough of the water that I don't saturate my drying towel but I do wipe down the whole thing.

I went over it when I waxed the whole car with Americana on Sunday and there wasn't any residue except for a couple of spots so I get what you mean. Good to know that if I am not wiping down the whole thing that it's a waste to use the DS.

Always learning from you guys!
