so changed the plugs and wires, plug in hole 2 was loose, seems to have fixed the issue but need to do a longer drive to be sure.

A loose plug would certainly do it. Unstable ground/lost compression.

dont toss your plugs. there good for 70,000 miles. any LS motor can use them
