did your new car's engine smell a little funny?

so i've driven two camaros on the lots that had 0 miles on them. on both when i test drove them, they had some weird reactions. one smoked, the other just smelled like it was burning? lol...is that normal? these were at two totally different dealerships too.

hopefully will get mine in soon and i wanted to ask this question ahead of time so i know if smoking/burning smell is normal or not before i see it.

every single brand new car i've ever had has made some smell in the first few hundred miles. most of the time it's normal.

500+ miles on our 2012. Notice the same thing. Seems to be less noticeable now though. No smoking(that's bad), just odd oder.

Auto or manual? I know my clutch smelled bad for a while and then went away.

The smell is caused from the money you just burnt on buying the Camaro!!

Nothing like that new SS motor smell. Hot hot hot! Also the smell of $4k in depreciation, so I had better enjoy it. And I did!!
