So how will this work for a novice like me, who has never been to a track?

Just come out and drive. There will be plenty of people out there willing to give you tips based on how you're doing.
Just remember to bring a helmet, your car will get under 14 so you'll need it.

If this is rescheduled for the 30th I'm going to try and talk the wife into making a trip to Maryland.

Hey what if you don't own a helmet. Do they have them available as a rental? I'd like to take a pass down the track. This is on my calendar as well. I hope it don't get postponed already took that Sunday off from work.

Is everyone that is planning to go to MIR .. going to meet up at Burtonsville Crossing first then cruise down together to the track?

They might have rental helmets there, not sure though. I've got a spare and will try to remember to bring it out.

Yea, we can meet at Burtonsville to cruise down. As the date gets closer, we can figure something out.

You're in Maryland so Burtonsville will probably be best for you

Just wondering if anyone may have a jack there I could use to swap on my drag radials at the track? Just trying to decide if I should leave them at home or bring them with me.
