Here's my experience with the cam install. Oil pan is the huge PITA on these cars. Maybe some of my posts or pics will help you out:

I took my oil pump apart , makes putting the pump housing on the pick up tube super easy.

Just put the gears in after and then the front cover...

Was a melling pump

I have some install tools for the ATI damper I could lend you. Damper puller, flywheel locking tool, and threaded rod with bearing for install of new damper. PM me if you're interested.

Take a look at my thread. Got some pics of the whole thing. I thought the oil PUMP was pretty easy. It's the oil PAN bolts that were problematic on the ZL1, specifically a wire tray that bolts to both the block and the pan, preventing the pan from dropping. Getting to those bolts/studs was a little difficult for me.

I agree with disassembly of the oil pump. Technically, you should shim the gears, too. Pics in my thread of that, too.

Sure did....

New green belt, phastek hero drl harness, cupholder hero liners (put the stock mouse pad like material cupholder/console liners to shame).

Nothing crazy i know, haha.

I went with the Dynatech. Hopefully I won't need to take advantage of the lifetime warranty on them too soon.

RotoFab CAI, ATI Balancer, 18% OD pulley, Dynatech 1 7/8” LT headers with HF cats, DSX auxiliary pump, DSX flex fuel sensor, ID1050x injectors, 174 Thermostat , catch can , Metco breather, JRE Tune..that’s all (for now).

I am addicted to power, will work for mods.
