so today I was changing the differential fluid in the new to me zl1. I have known for a while that the car has a muffler delete. I noticed today that the vacuum lines for the old NPP exhaust are still there and have not been capped. they were just cut and are still sitting there. Is this a problem? Is this producing a vacuum leak? I can get some caps and fix the problem but I am just wondering if I even need to bother.

Check the other end to see if the hoses are still connected or have been capped off.

You could do a fuse pull as well and and not have to worry about it at all.

Just went out and checked, the lines all appear to be connected at the engine end, but the F8 fuse has already been pulled. So if I am understanding this correctly. No fuse=no vacuum leak?

The fuse shouldn't have anything to do with vacuum and would just apply to the electronic actuator. Vacuum would be there all the time which leads me to believe you need to cap those lines.

i'm not a delete guy so i would get some npp mufflers

It was this way when I bought it, it will have to stay this way until I find something I like that I can afford.

No need for NPP anyway. Most new exhausts don't have it anyway. MBRP makes a really good axle back that is relatively inexpensive if you get tired of the total muffler delete.
