The third brake light cost

Ridiculous how much these friggin lights are. And don't get me started on BS I need to rip out just to get access

Well if you're gonna go through the trouble, may as well replace with LED so you won't ever have to worry with it again.

I'm sure the cost is outrageous. I'm just leaving mine as is. It lights up about 20% of the time....

I did that too until it stopped lighting up at all. Since its needed to pass state inspection, I went ahead and ordered one. I'll put it in myself and save the $300 labor cost.

I have a 2012, and my local dealer replaced mine free of charge, when it stopped working.

Were you still under warranty? I can't imagine a dealer doing that big of a job for free or out of good will, having to remove most of the rear interior parts and all just to get at the light....

But for the OP, I can see needing it fixed for state inspections. If we had those, I'd have to get mine done too.

My bumper to bumper is long gone. My drive train expires in October this year.

I most definitely would have gone free if I could have lol.
