Hit Curb
Hey guys, in my younger days, I used to do all my own work on my own older camaro. But, I’m not as young as I once was and my knowledge on modern cars isn’t great.
Long story short, the poor visibility of my 2016 SS finally got me. I was pulling into a gas station and hit a part of the driveway that hadn’t sloped down yet. It was definitely a hard hit and my front left tire popped. I replaced the tire and reinstalled it. The car now pulls slightly to the left. I believe the car has as electric steering box. Is this something a simple alignment will correct? I am not in the know with how modern alignment works. I appreciate any help |

It's possible that you just need an alignment. Take it to a competent shop and ask them to check to make sure nothing is bent or broken. They will be able to tell. If it is good to go, then can then align it. As for the electric steering, once they do the alignment, I think they then have to reset something in the computer of the car in regards to the electric steering.
As for the wheel, did the shop that replaced the tire check to see if your rim was okay? It's possible it is bent. If not too bad it can also be repaired. |

Alignments, nothing has changed. You knocked your alignment out and might have damaged parts. Take it to a reputable shop. The electronic part is assist like the hydraulic power steering pumps they are not drive by wire. If the steering wheel is off center tell them and they can zero set it.
