My Tahoe has that option... If you turn on your turn signal and someone is in your blind spot... it beeps to warn you..

Of course it doesn't work if you have a Cell Phone in one hand and a Cigarette in the other...

Sorry if I'm coming across a bit brash, but why would you ever need something like that on this car, if not almost all cars? Is it really that hard to tilt your head to the side for a couple of seconds to make absolutely sure nobody is in your blind spot? Cars today are starting to have all these fancy safety items which are just not needed, adjust your mirrors properly, and if in doubt, LOOK.

I read an article on how to set your mirrors to view the blind spot and if I can find it I will post the link here. Short version that I use is this, get comfy in your seat then lean your head on the window, now adjust your drivers side mirror until you see the road. This should put the mirror displaying your blind spot as drivers pass you. As the car is leaving your rear view mirror it should be appearing in the side view mirror. adjust as needed. For the passengers side, tilt over until your head is over the console, adjust the passengers side mirror like before. Traffic should disappear and appear seamlessly from the rear view mirror to your passenger side mirror. give it a try, it does work.

I think it would be a great idea for those drivers who have to wear a neck brace. Everyone else should just turn their head a little to make sure the lane is clear.

I don't advocate punch it and cross my fingers and hope my mirrors are aimed in the correct spot, I also look because I know nothing is infalable(spelling). Sorry to hear about your neck, hope it's better soon.

That's how I roll as well. Just hope it's not five-o in the blind spot. LOL

I have a blind spot intervention system in my 1SS/RS. It's in the front left seat.

Here is the best blind spot intervention... use all of your mirrors and take a direct look where you plan to go.... blind spot fixed!

I bought little 2 inch Convex "Blind Spot" mirrors that I placed on the lower corners of the driver and passenger mirrors. In addition to having appropriately set mirrors, the convex mirrors greatly assist with visibility. That, and the set only cost $4 from your local auto parts store.
