I had no idea what I was in for when I ordered my Camaro, but omg, the reaction is insane. I've had so many people give me the thumbs up, fist pump, scream at me while on the highway and even almost run me off the road asking me if it drives as good as it looks! I've had it on cruise night at a friends bar and Honey Bee is always the star of the show. My favorite experiences were when a brand new vette owner sped up next to me to give me the open handed (camaro) 5 sign and a lamburghi owner pulled over to check out my car. My absolute favorite is the little boy up the street who stands at the end of his driveway every time I roll down the street and yells out "Bumble Bee!". I have an IOM 2LT RS with no stripes but he still associates the car with BB. It makes me smile everytime.

Oh, and I must say how awesome it is when I stop for gas and my boyfriend gets mobbed and then has to tell everyone it's my car and not his !

Ive been to a local wednesday car show for pre 74 year cars foe the last 3 weeks. I have to park outside the ropes but I get a big share of the crowd coming over to look at my car. They all want to seeit up close. I stand on the other side of the lot and just watch the crowd ogle the car. When I go to leave they all start asking loads of questions and I answer them all because I LOVE THIS CAR!

I come out and there is a husband and wife walking all around the car looking at it and saying what a nice looking car it was. I walked up to the car and they said "Is this your car?" I said yes. They said this is AWESOME! We talk for a little bit and I run to my next stop. When I come out of there, there is a family which included husband, wife and a few boys. They were basically surrounding the car while pointing and talking about the car. I just stood and watched for a minute.

So that was cool, but the highlight of the trip was when I pulled up to a stoplight and saw a 1969 Camaro at the front of the line. It was Red with White stripes, just like mine. I just about pushed two cars out of the road so I could get behind it. We cruised around together for a little while and then both had to go our ways. It was pretty cool. Here's a picture I took. I know this last part is a little off topic from the original post, but it was just too cool not to share.

Hey CamaroPete Cool Story! FYI...hopefully not sounding petty but That's a 1968 Camaro ahead of you. Sometimes it's hard telling 1st gens apart, especially from a distance. Glad you guys Love your Cars.

My ABM Camaro is on it's way home and I've got a road trip (without the wife) planned to go to Tennessee and then up to Ky and then back home. I'll be gone about 10 days and hope to see a few thumbs up on the way coming and going. Already getting a perma grin just tracking it each step of the way. Should be home in next two weeks. Was in Champaign, Illinios yesterday morning but already got released and heading southbound and should be able to get my next report on it in a couple of hours.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't ask the guy and I was so pumped up by the moment I didn't look all that closely. Figured it was a '68 or '69 though.

I won't be the first person in town with one, but the first IOM w/ white stripes. the other one is owned by a guy at work, but he parks it behind the warehouse and no one can see it. I have a parking spot RIGHT OUT FRONT! I too have a bunch of people at work that want rides. its going to be great, and I will NEVER get tired of people asking questions, waving, or

I just took a trip from Ct down to MD (330 miles) in my new summit white, IO rally striped 2SS/RS Camaro. Many, many tolls along the way. You know your car is special when not one, but two female toll takers said "nice car" as I paid the toll. These two gals must each look at thousands of cars every day but they still noticed the Camaro.
You have to wonder how long this attention will last.
