I am payin 134/month for full coverage, i'm 27 and got a ticket within the last year. i am going to shop around to see if i can find anything cheaper. Oh and i'm not married will that make it cheaper?

In order of importance: age, credit score, driving record, zipcode, type of car, limits of coverage.

Also multiple car discounts, homeowners discounts and many many others to add.
katman, you are a insurance salesman?? I was just wondering why on my Impala it cost more per month than the Camaro? It's not much more, $30 every 6 months. I just assumed it would cost more for the Camaro. Only thing I can think of is that the Impala is my daily driver and the Camaro isn't.

Yes Camaroluver, you could be right, maybe 1 car listed as a commuter car, the Camaro as a pleasure use car. Other reasons are more complex, such as a ticket will only be attributed to one of the cars, but not both. Companies like Allstate and Farmers have a new business rate and inforce rate so it is very complicated to know if your getting the best deal from your own company, because the new business rate is less, how's that for loyalty? Almost all insurance companies have different rates for the same risk in their business model, such as a rate in an older "legacy" product, and a new product rate and it is up to the broker to switch from an older product to a newer one. I know, way too much information!

USAA insurance is great. Members can now refer ANYONE to become a member without any military affiliation, past or present.

They also offer a plan where you can mark one of your covered cars as "stored" and get up to an 80% reduction in premium while stored (car can be non-operational, seasonal storage or if you get deployed).

I'm probably going to buy in the next 6 months. Got the money now but the dealers are marking up the price. I've got State Farm perfect record 21 and the quote I got was 170 a month.

It looks like some of you are getting raked over the coals! I only pay $1100 a year for full coverage on my 2010 camaro and my 67 camaro! My 2010 is only $800 by its self. Both are covered by Tennessee's Farm Bureau.

$259.51 every 6 mos. AAA $250 ded broad collision $100.00 ded broad comprehensive. 57 yrs. Yeah your credit score counts in Michigan, big time. It is being challenged in court as discriminatory.

As far as Hagarty is concerned, I am not an insurance guy, but it seems to me you can get the reduced premium if the vehicle is stored or for limited miles through your regular auto insurer.
