I haven't added anything from GM to mine yet. I have RS headlights with 2SSRS colorshifting halos in my garage right now waiting to be installed

Replaced my cloth seats with factory leather seat covers, did all the work myself and replaced my LS steel wheels with SS wheels and pirellis.

I've been tinkering with/restoring cars for a very long time. In my experience, if it's better than OEM, then 99% of the time it's more expensive than OEM. You're only legitimate shot at getting it for less at retail prices is if you find the vendor that supplies GM with the parts, (i.e. Standard Motor Products used to make a buttload of ACDelco electronic parts to the same specs). You can likely come up with a few examples, but they're the exception, and not the norm.

In most instances, aftermarket items are inferior to GM parts. There's a reason it costs a lot less, and it's not because of having to pay union wages. Sometimes it's all you got when the GM parts are no longer available, but if you're putting on stuff that the R&D is shaky on, you get what you pay for. You may get lucky, but it's a crapshoot.

I put splash guards and the PDIM module on and the sub box in the trunk. I put a new stereo system in with Focal speakers. I have the sub box from Chevy up for sale. I think I paid around $800.00 for it. If anyone is interested make me a offer.

History lesson...

I have a 69 SS 427 with 2120 miles on it. The 1969 invoice matches the car. If history tells me anything, I'm leaving the 2011 just the way it was delivered. A car is only original once.

I added a 5th P-Zero in the trunk, but sorry, the factory wheel was too expensive so I had it mounted on a similar wheel from Tire Rack.
