I have invented a module that lets you add a video source and a backup cam (if not already present). The modules on the market use a GVIF interface that is more expensive than the solution using the backup cam input (like mine).
Unlike the solution 64stingray found out, i am telling the radio over CAN that the reverse is on. (so no reversing lights are on).
It allows a cinch Video Input with Audio and a backup cam Input.
We try to bring it to the US market shortly.

We are searching for a tester.

I also invented a GM specific Bluetooth Interface with Android App, allowing to lock/unlock the car, open trunk and window,... by voice. Full GM Diagnotics, Outside Lights controlled to the beat of the music, Dashboard with a lot values (like hp),etc...

I hope this post is ok for the admins.

Greetings
Bernd

I would also be interested in this as I have a reverse camera but no way to view videos or DVDs. The app sounds pretty awesome! I'd love to hear more on that. I would test for you as well.

Thank you,
David

Hello All,

I am sitting on 20 Happyblue Bluetooth interface modules down here in St. Pete, FL. They are the modules Bernd described above. PM me if you want to be involved in the testing. It will require actual testing and recording of results in order for us to perfect the product.

Thanks,
Eric

I'm down for testing but is there any specific requirements for options in our car?

I'd possibly be in for testing as well as long as it allows me to retain my actual back up camera function as well.Either way, I'd like some more details.

I'm interested in testing. I will very shortly be retrofitting Mylink into my 2010.

If you read the instruction manual for the unit, it states that it can be the only Bluetooth unit connected, so as I understand it, would have to disconnect your cell phone Bluetooth and streaming Bluetooth to make this unit work. I'm not willing to do that, so count me out....

The bluetooth unit? The way I read it was that if you had "auto connect" enabled, then the unit can only pair with that one phone. You should still be able to pair your phone other devices (ie your car) while paired with the bluetooth unit.

The device looks interesting. It looks a little bit like Dashlogic.

I'm willing to test this out as well. Do you still need testers?

Definitely not interested, something seems fishy about this. Plus it looks like you took someone else's Logo and changed the first letter. Buyer Beware

Can the video input take HDMI video? What I am looking for is similar to KVM functionality except it be Steering Wheel Interface, HDMI video, and Touchscreen or SVT switching from carpc to mylink. Can your device support that?

I'm still trying to get the front camera to work on the MyLink. I have a wireless camera with video inside the car just need to hook it up to the radio?

Bill

Anyone get any update on the tester units?

I requested one a while ago and haven't heard anything yet.

Hello,

Again Bernd the Inventor here:

Regarding Camera Input module (HappyTV):

The Mylink Radio needs to have the camera option programmed properly (I dont find the thread about this, but there is one here in the forum)
Then with my module you can have another Video/Audio Input for e.g. front camera (which is the normal Cinch Plugs Yellow and for Audio White and Red)
You have to get a hdmi to Cinch Adaptor (look out on ebay, they are cheap and work good) for the hdmi Input. I do have this in my car and it mirrors my cellphone, this is nice with the HappyBlue App.

Regarding Bluetooth Interface (HappyBlue):

Bluetooth can multiconnect, so the connection to the Happyblue as well as the connection Cellphone-> Radio works parallel.
The Autoconnect function means, that only your phone will connect to the HappyBlue and not someone elses. Pairing request from other devices will be ignored from the HappyBlue
So jeffa, maybe you stay in touch

So i will only do the technical stuff, for everything else there is Eric (CANtronixUSA).

Greetings
Bernd
