Finally ready to do suspension

Hi,

2010 Camaro SS supercharged running 315 in rear and 285 in front. i have solid cradle bushings im going to install, but looking to get this heavy girl to move.
What is everyones recommendations and part numbers.

Thoughts were:

Either ZL1 rear bar or the DSE rear bar
which bar do i run in the front (ZL1, 1LE, leave stock?)
LCA upgrade
Bilstein B6 (anyone have part numbers)
What springs. Dont really want to go lower and am looking for ride quality still
Im assuming i need to change my strut mounts to a 1LE design?

What else am i missing or should change

Again if you guys got part numbers would be helpful.

its just a street fun car.

Thanks,

Lots of opinions out there. I did BMR cradle/diff/front radius/upper control arm bushings. Detroit Speed rear sway conversion kit and GM lca's. BMR 1" lowering springs with the fe4 shocks/struts. Cars handling increased dramatically but still retains a smooth ride by using GM shocks/struts. Some of the others (1le, B6 and Konis seem to have a harsher ride. I think I managed to get the best of both worlds...as I am a summer only non daily driver....its just for fun.
This is just my opinion....because it was what I wanted out of my car. Everyone's taste is different. Keep reading and learning before you just throw money at it.
Good luck.

Find a DSE rear 35mm bar a 1LE front bar, a set of B6’s with 1LE rear shock mounts, strut mounts are all the same unless you go camber plates.
A square set up tire wise on 20x10 frt and 20x11 rear.
A set of Z28 rear upper control mounts for the rear of the arm.
Do the conversion on the rear suspension for the outboard mount sway bar.
Front control arm inserts.
Now if you wanna get really serious go either BMR or DSE LCAs, Toe Rods, and Trailing Arms, and a set of Sub Frame solid bushings.
Car will be Rock Solid!!!
Now if you really wanna wake it up do a set of 3.91’s or 4.11’s.

I am not running a square setup so not sure I should use the 1le front bar. 315s in the rear 285s in the front currently.

Definitely don’t need gears, I’m at 630 at the wheel on a mustang dyno.

How much worse is the ride quality with the B6 vs the stock 2010 SS, also what about compared to the 1LE setup?

At 80k miles, the B6 rode much better than the stock. I can't compare to new original shocks.

I just ordered the Bilstein B6's. Probably going to leave the front sway bar for now and go with the ZL1/1LE rear bar.

Now i need the LCA's and the upgraded rear strut mounts.

My next question, continue using stock springs or look at someone elses. I dont really need to sit any lower than the car now. I see the BMR or DSE springs are a popular setup with it though.

Mine had the PFADT lowering springs on when I purchased it so I really can't compare with stock. Mine is firm, but I don't find it uncomfortable. I guess that depends on the condition of the roads you drive.

Lowering isn't just for looks though, you should see a handling benefit to the lower center of gravity. If your roads are decent you should consider lowering. If they are crap, it probably isn't worth the trade off.

They are northeast ohio roads, so salt definitely destroys our roads. Not michigan bad, but not far off.

I'm running 1le shocks/struts with BMR 1.25" springs... is it stiff? yes, but not backbreaking and its my DD. Performance wise its such a massive upgrade especially for the rear, car feels a bit more planted on WOT.

That scares me a little. I hear the B6's are better with the springs than the 1LE shocks/struts though.

I haven’t been a fan of lowering springs but just installed the Hotchkis set per recommendation of a Cam5 vendor. I love them and the ride is great, not harsh like I feared. Running them with stock F4 struts with 1LE mounts. Z28 mounts are even better but cost about twice as much. If I were you, I’d consider the mono tube 1LE rear struts. A lot of folks have reported that the B6s ride stiff with stock springs. All perspective I suppose. I also installed poly cradle bushings and Z28 upper rear control arm bushings along with 1LE toe rods. Front rad rod poly inserts and poly sway bushings on the front. Handling is pretty darn amazing to me so far. The more vehicles I’ve modded, the more I respect hi-po factory engineering and reliability.
