Scheduled maintenance

My car was due for scheduled maintenance 44000 I think it said. It has transmission fluid change and differential fluid change. Are those hard to do, or should
I just take it to the dealer. Does the 2011 2ss auto have a transmission filter?

They are both easy jobs to DIY, but the fill procedure for the transmission is a little annoying to get the level exact.

Differential is 100% do it yourself. The transmission pan drop is up to you. Watch a youtube video on how its done and see if you want to deal with the way you get the correct fluid level. I added a trans dipstick at the same time and that made it much easier to fill the fluid back in.

I didn’t even notice it didn’t have a dipstick, I’ll check out some videos on it , I don’t want to put too much or too little in it.. if it seems to hard I’ll just take it in. Was going to do it when I change the oil this week. I’ll probably put it on jack stands to do it.
My ramps look like it will be harder to judge going up. Really can’t see the front of the car..

You need the car to be level when you do both the transmission and the differential, so jackstands is a must for this one. Even if you use ramps for the front, you'll need to get the rear up and level the car.

I don’t think I’ll get it level with just 2 jack stands, I thought it would be like changing the oil. I’ll figure something out. or just bring it in if it doesn’t cost a lot..

A good reason to buy 2 more jack stands. It's good to have 4 so that you can safely rotate tires and such anyway.

Yeah that’s true , I’ve never put a car on 4 jack stands before.
I have always used one. Or ramps to get both wheels up..
Never too late to learn though I guess

I recommend ESCO 10499 jack stands. A little pricier, but with the circular pad top it's MUCH easier to use on the car.
