Another Stabilitrack post

So A couple of weeks ago I was on a clear back road and I opened it up I was in third gear at above 5000 rpm and the stabilitrack flashed on and off. I slowed down and it went away.

Fast forward to today. I was driving on the highway with cruise control on at about 82 in 6th gear around 1800 to 1900 rpms. AFR gauge at around 16. The service stabilitrack came on, reduced engine power came on and as I pulled off to the side of the road the car was bucking hard and at a stop idled extremely rough. I shut her down and disconnected the negative cable for a minute. Turned her back on and no issue no CEL. Drove fine. 60 miles later same thing.

I haven’t plugged in my HP to see what code was thrown yet. I read other posts on this and see it could be a bunch of different things. However, the other posts I saw didn’t have the full blown reduced power service stabilitrack issue.

Not a fan of taking it to the dealership I will most likely fix this myself. I will post the codes once my laptop is charged enough to pull the codes.

16 afr is lean, even at light throttle. Can it be switched to lambda? A few variables with afr. Such as fuel used and what stochiometric value is programmed in the wideband. Which can skew the real value. Could be the tune or vacuum leak causing fuel trims to try to adjust, but are excessive and throwing a cel. ???? Code will help.

sounds like short or electrical malfunction. try to do it again then turn off the stabiltrak and see if it corrects....or check the schematic and see if anything on your intake, fuel, etc is on the same circuit as the stabiltrak.

I guess if I were sure that the TPS was it I would. Is this common?

Plus you add the bbk 95mm on top and i think the tb and tps are great places to start looking for your problem

So, I should have mentioned that the car had a nitrous system from previous owner. I removed it during my LSA install. He had spliced the power for the nitrous into the harness that leads to the TPS. I connected the wires through a butt connector. Good friend of mine and retired mechanic chastised me for not soldering it.

I soldered yesterday and we will see if that is it. If it isn’t the TB is next.
