according to the dealer...when he called them the other day.. he was told they are delivering 24/7 .. which is good.. but the bigy is that they have to have the car delivered within 24 hours of arrival in Kent... So it looks like it got in yesterday.. and they better get that temp recall done today!

That's the way it used to be.
Both my C/E in 2001 and my Colorado in 2004 were marked hot when they got to their distribution center. The DBC told me if they are marked hot, they will be at the dealer within 48 hours. And the cars were there within 24 hours.
It was the same for both vehicles at the two different dates.

Now maybe something has changed since '04. That I wouldn't know about.

And I wouldn't believe GM or the dealers when they're saying that all cars are being marked as hot. I'd still want my dealer to call anyways.

Are you speculating or do you have a source for this info?

I'd be willing to bet that its not speculation... as a UPRR employee, we have alot of internal security measures that we take to keep the rails safe... so having people calling 24/7 asking about where cars are is going to throw up red flags and get things shut down... anything the UPRR can pin as "being vigilant", they'll do it... and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they did that with this information

You don't believe GM or your dealer, so you want your dealer to call GM? This doesn't make sense to me...maybe I'm reading it wrong.

As an aside, trust me, everyone wants Camaros out of their hands ASAP. All Camaros are indeed hot.

I am not speculating. I am also not willing to prove myself to you. I don't think that's really necessary.

dealer gave me a vin 2G1FC1EV4A9107938 but was unable to give me a production week??? Said it was shipped 5/8/09. Anybody have means to verify this for me? My dealer doesn't appear to be the brightest in the world.

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

I do have the railcar number. I had the dealer call the Dealer Business Center while I was in his office and ask for it.
I received a call from the Chevy customer service center today (05/11) and she was calling to tell me that the train with my car was rolling through Birmingham, AL. She called the dealer herself and had that information given to her by the dealer. He, the dealer, also told her that I should have the car by the 05-13. We will see.

Can anyone tell me how to track my car on the railway? It's going to NC. I have tried to figure this out, but pulling my hair out. I know it was shipped, but can't find how to track. Any info would be great.

According to the Camaro marketing manager, it take about two weeks after the car is produced for it to arrive at the dealeraship.
