It flashed up one time and now I cant find it. The shift pattern to show you what gear you are in. HELP! Cant find it in the owners manual either.

Didn't know the zl1 had that option. Something I wish my car had.

Manual gear will show up when using onstar and your turn by turn and your center display (Between the Speedo and Tach) is on nav....I think that's what is was.....

I think what you may have seen displayed was the skip shift while accelerating, I've also seen the gear displayed when selecting cruise control or when songs updates on the XM channel on the HUD.

If you have an auto and are using the manual mode paddle shifters it will always show current gear.

That's what I was thinking, too. Does it display on the HUD or just in the info screen?

I know it exists, but I've never seen it.

No, its not the skip shift, I've seen it on mine and read about it but for the life of me can't remember which screen it comes up on. Like said before it may only come up when using cruise control.

I believe it is on the lateral g-force screen when you set the cruise control.
