Just my opinion, chevy nailed it with the Gen-5 body and failed with the Gen-6 body. Just never was an appealing car (Gen-6) to me, but that's only my opinion.

Kind of regretting trading my mustang. Mustangs have a much superior parts support. Great suspension components for Mustang, such as Steeda, Kenny Brown, Roush, JRI, JRZ, and not to mention the same places like BMR that also service Chevy.

Anyone know the reason for ending production?

GM’s upper management is retarded, that’s the best explanation I can give.

come on guys... it's a niche product, it doesn't sell enough to be a cash cow, it's not a flasgship product (that's the corvette) and it only creates problems with the emission certificates that every car manufacturer has to deal with. The camaro is a FANTASTIC car, and unfortunately it's victim of what is happening to the N/A sportscar market nowadays... it doesn't sell enough and it is not worth (for the manufacturer) to keep it.
this also means that in the future (15 / 20 years?) these cars will be among the last few good sportcars existing and their value will go up, even so slightly. Enjoy them, because this is a breed that is on extinction.

If you head over to the General section and read through the many EV threads you'll come across some pretty good info/opinions from former gm employees. Chevrolet and gm kinda painted themselves into a corner with the Camaro. The knock on our 5th Gens was a small interior and bad sight lines with several blind spots. 6th Gen never addressed the vision complaint and the interior got even smaller. Hard to compte with the bigger Mustangs and Challengers for DD or family practicality. Not really enough market share for TWO Chevy sports cars and the Vette is selling well.
