Like they say, third time's a charm! I originally wanted the camaro when you could first preorder the car back in Nov of 08. I put my $1000 deposit down, but lost my job in February so my dreams went out the door. I tried again in June of 2010, but my credit was not high enough (I was 19 years old). Finally tried on Nov 23rd and got approved! I Took delivery of a Rally Yellow Hardtop with Black Racing Stripes on December 1st. I got a 2SS/RS M6. I had no clue how to drive stick and stalled the car pulling out of the dealership! I spent about an hour in the neighborhood trying to get better. I finally decided to go back to my house, which was NO BUENO! I live in the hills and did not think about rolling back at all the stopsigns.... *oops*! I had a ton of mods planned for my car already. I had already taken a look at different options for supercharging my car. I decided to get a TVS2300 blower. The next week I wanted to do some blackout accents on my car. Tint happened shortly after that. I added side vent gills; blackout parking lights, blackout rear panel, Bowtie and SS blackout, and wrapped the roof ditch molding in carbon fiber vinyl. I ordered a RotoFab cold air intake and got that installed; picked up a little horsepwer! Switched out my license plate lights to white, dome light to blue as well as strip lighting under the dash. Got my AAC Concept Sidemarkers installed, will be posting pics soon. Last edited by pyr0b0y; 02-11-2013 at 01:49 PM. |

got around to rewiring my blinker lights. I used a 2 tone bulb and tapped into my halo wiring so i have white led's as running lights with halos. You don't really notice it in this pic but the halos are just a slightly different tint. I'm considering swapping them with higher output CCFL rings, but not too excitied about baking my headlights in the oven!

Great Start, and congrats on finally being able to get the car... I had my own trials in that area...
I'll be following this one...

Congrats and good luck on the dyno. I'm glad the supercharger made it to your place without incident. Your car is going to be bad a$$ when it's done.

Just voted for the T-Tops. Subscribed to this thread. Your ride will be the car of the week when you are all done.

The cam system I got was from LG Motorsports. It's the G6XB system; it includes the Camshaft, Comp 921 Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Push Rods, Titanium Retainers, Seats, Seals and Heavy Duty Timing Chain. Here's the link in case you're interested:
G6XB Cam System My system isn't on their website, but they have similar systems with specs. It's been tested by LG but their not ready to release it yet (I was assured my car isn't going to blow up!) It's not street legal but at this point, dont really care anymore! |
