Flames
Is anybody going to be putting flames on their Camaro? I thought about it but think I will pass on the flames. I don't mean really loud flames but a black car with flames you can barely see during the day but show up great at night would look pretty sweet!!!!
My brother had a friend who put them on a 71 Vega and it really make it look good at night. They weren't loud at all and some of you in the Cincinnati area may have seen the car a the calvacade of customs back in the 70's. It had a 350 with two fours coming out of the hood. He came in second but the car that beat him was a 67 Nova who had his car lifted up with mirrors under it to show all the chome he had. The Vega was driven in but the Nova was on a trailer and they pushed it in. |

Do you have pictures of Vega? Would love to see that.
I was going to do a black camaro with dark red racing stripes and inside the stripes do a "true fire"/ "ghost flame". But have since decided against it. As of now I just have a black 2SS/RS ordered, but might add flat black racing stripes eventually. Dragoneye did a picture up of what I was initally thinking, He did a great job. |

Check out http://www.rodtanadesigns.com/ under gallery. You'll see a black 5th gen drawing with flames...not bad.. I prefer the IOM Camaro myself

If anyone is considering flames, do ghost flames, very subtle but eye catching. Anything else does look cheap. Just my opinion.

if done right, it could be awesome... wrong could look like rice. i've decided to not do much to draw attention to my car (fewer tickets = much good). if i was gonna do it, i think cyber gray with subtle jetstream blue ghost flames would be hot

Yeah, I agree. This car is already attractive, there's no need for over kill. subtle flames would do, if your into that kind of stuff.

wont look good. But I wont "flame" anyone on what they decide to do to "their" car.

I agree...........this Vega a friend of mine had was Black with flames that were killer at night. He came in second at the Calvacade of Customs in Cincinnait back in the 70's. I tried to get pics but he lost them when his house burnt down. |
