Of all places/events I thought this would be the last place we'd have to worry about this kind of stuff.

That would make me mad! Aside from the cap missing, I would be pissed about my brake fluid being exposed to the environment. Brake fluid is extremely hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture (including humidity in the air). This could prematurely wear down your brake fluid.
I would get a new cap AND bleed your brakes.

That seriously sucks! Unbelievable that at an event like this someone would stoop that low. Last year one of our club members had her billet shock tower covers stolen at the Fest carshow. Like has been said already, carma is gonna get them.

Yep. You will always find a thief or jerk amongst the crowd. It's unfortunate, but that's the way the world works. Luckily, we have more good people than bad. But if we ever catch those bad ones....They, I am SURE, will be ridiculed in front of THOUSANDS and will NEVER want to attend another event ANYWHERE.

LOL, before this weekend I may have agreed with you I actually got to meet Mike from Roto-Fab this weekend and talked to him for awhile. He was a great guy, really surprised me actually how friendly he was given the shirt I was wearing when I approached him, and he was really down to earth and sincere. Talking to him was probably one of the coolest parts of my weekend, and it was refreshing seeing that they seemed to share the same mutual respect as we do for them on a professional level. -Bill @ CAI Inc.

OP- Thank you for keeping your car in our booth, I can't believe that something like that happened, especially considering we were only a few feet away 99% of the time. I really appreciate you parking the car in our booth, and am sorry that you have to deal with that, nothing ticks me off more then theft!

Remember that this was a public event and that there were people from the local area who were in attendance. I'd rather like to think it was someone who does not own a Camaro or perhaps even an innocent kids dare. Glad you noticed it before any harm was done.

If it makes you feel any better... I was vandalized not once but twice by the BBQ nachos!

Yeah. I don't know if it was someone from the forum or not. I would like to think not, but who knows.

At any rate, I bought a new cap today. Just under $20 after tax. Crisis averted.

This sucks, but I'm glad you caught it. Was probably some punk kids trying to grab something they thought was 'rare'.

All in all, I think most people were very respectful of each other and each others cars. they also were respectful of the parking arrangements at the host hotel. this group was really commendable this year. hats off to everyone !
