Wheel Hop - Parts Vendors?

I have been reading that replacing a bunch of bushings might help the wheel hop 5th gens have. Im wondering if these will work in the Z28?

I really, really, hate the wheel hope my Z28 has. So much so that I am looking at buying a hellcat. I want something more fun from stop light to stop light.

Has anyone fixed the wheel hop?
Do different tires help?
Will a different alignment help?

There is n way you can spin the tires at all on my Z28. The wheel hop is terrible and worse then any car I have driven.

What tires do you have on the car? I have RE11's and haven't noticed wheel hop but I'm not out hammering the crap out of the car either. I usually just run it hard against the traction control. i think the original Trofeos were bad with wheel hop.

I’m on the 5yo original cracked trofeos ( waiting till spring for new tires ) and the wheel hop is terrible, 2nd gear is useless. It’s also been pretty cold mid/low 40’s temp. I’m hoping new tires will be the trick.

Start with your cradle bushings. Pegasus makes a great product, solid aluminum subframe bushings essentially lock your cradle to your chassis, and most importantly, they eliminate wheel hop! See my DIY www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=540578
And good luck!

How do they affect the ride during normal driving? Just wondering if there are drawbacks. I am lowered and have not experienced wheel hop from a dead start but did notice it once when they broke loose on a rolling start.

This will get me flamed but, what the hell. I solved my wheel hop by getting a new ZL1. I too was frustrated with the wheel hop and was also afraid this would lead to broken axle's or even rear end failure. The Z/28 is not good for burn outs, it's a track car but, then you know that.

No... Z28 is way more rare, more fun, better on the track and doesn't go into limp mode. Im sure your ZL1 doesn't go into limp mode with you driving it but give me 15 min of a 30 min session on a 105 degree day and I bet you $500 I will get that car into limp mode. Just like the GT350 and Z06 Corvette. Talk to me about supercharged track cars after you have replaced 3 engines. Been there done that.

Then the ZL1 is a way better car for you. Z28 are for track junkies. of the 9,000 miles about 7,000 of them were put on at a track. Myself and many other bought these cars for track domination. I love passing GT3's, GT4's and ZL1's. Surprisingly the new Z06s are about the only cars I have not been able to over take.

Funny, my car has no wheel hop, but can spin the tires, think it's the rear Hotchkis Max Chassis brace we added to the car before it's 2nd track day.

That's if the give you a pass by, some GT3's GT4's don't like a camaro passing them up.

I know right... I really have to ride there ass the first time. They just don't believe I am faster. Whats even more amazing is I take them in the corners. The darn GT3 will pull me in the straights.

I would love to know if that was all it took. I have seen Z28's doing burnouts in videos and really want to know how... Mine hops violently. Its rather embarrassing.

Are you running this one? https://www.phastekperformance.com/2...race-20104.htm

That's the one, we put it on in the heat of summer and it made the car stiffer then before, if I am at three start line and get the green flag, I drop the clutch and will spin the tires, not what I want to do but at the moment I am ready to go, lol think you will like it I know I did.

On the GT3/4s with my outher camaro I am faster in the turns and straights and they will not give it to you, but some time they get black flaged, then there mad.
