I keep seeing different answers.
What is the stock fuel pressure for m6?

Manual or automatic doesn't matter. I don't know specifically, but I would expect to see around 60psi or so. I'm sure someone can post the actual spec though.

58 is what mine runs at also. But I do have the ZL1 fuel pump.

factory fuel pressure runs about 58psi, but is commanded to drop to 50-51psi in the upper RPM. most people believe that this is caused by the pump getting weak but in most cases that is not true. it is in the GM programming of the fuel pump control module.

Stupid question but this seems a somewhat relevant place to ask it. If stock as is ~58, what is the pressure on the ZL1 pump? Or is it the same pressure and is just capable of moving a lot more fuel at that same pressure?

And does this mean that when injector shopping, I should be looking at the rating of the injectors at 4 bar? Seems like most list them based off the 3 bar flow

ZL1 pump = more flow @ 58psi than SS pump.

Injectors that are rated 50lb/hr @ 43psi will flow more fuel at 58psi than injectors that are rated 50lb/hr @ 58psi.

So, keep looking at the 3 bar flow ratings

SS fuel pressure is 58psi tapering down to 48psi as rpms go up.
ZL1 fuel pressure is 58psi at all times.

If you drop a ZL1 pump into a stock SS, you will get 58psi tapering down to 48psi by redline (but slightly more flow from the bigger pump).

If you add a ZL1 FPCM, you will get 58psi at all times.

If you use HPTuners to edit your stock ss FPCM, you can set it to whatever you want.

That's why you see so many different answers on this topic. The FPCM (fuel pump control module) controls the fuel pressure.

10-4 on the pump. As for injectors, I guess I knew that much...maybe the better question is: "If someone is telling me to get 850cc or 1000cc or whatever injectors...are they probably meaning based off 3 bar like ratings show or 4 bar like our system will be running?"

Makes sense. If I am reading right, the ZL1 FPCM isn't really needed, now that you can use HPT to make these changes to the SS one?

Related question: could one get slightly more flow out of an SS pump by just commanding it to 58 at all times instead of dropping off? Not that I plan to do so, just curious while we are near the subject

Could be either way, just need to verify with seller.

Yes, you could just use the stock SS FPCM.

No, the SS pump is physically smaller, so it will never move the same volume of fuel as the ZL1 pump.
