Convertible Top Recall

Got mine back on Saturday, zero hassle by my dealer. They farmed it out to a Mom and Pop convertible/upholstery shop and it came back immaculate!!

Big thumbs up to Ciocca Chevy in Quakertown, PA for how well it was handled!!

Just wanted to give them some credit, lots of stealerships out there, well, these guys aren't one of them.

Hope your top holds up well. Please provide us with some updates, good, bad or indifferent about how the new top is doing.

Well, the shop did a fantastic job, looks great!! Ran it thru the car wash today, zero leaks, dry floorboards. So far so good.

Baba, about to pull OrangeVert out for the spring - think I need to have the top adjusted as I heard wind noise last fall. Out of warranty now, so don't know what that will cost, but when I had it done under warranty it was only an hour or so. Fingers crossed.

Also have to re-apply 303, it's been 3 years since I last did it, though water still beads.

My top has a lot of rub marks on it, and has a couple of small marks that look like are developing into holes. I had the service manager look at it last fall shortly before I put it away for the winter. He said bring it back in this spring and we'll take a closer look at it because the warranty is done in June 2015. I plan on keeping this car for at least 3 more years and I don't want those areas to develop holes after the warranty is done, then I have to fix it on my dime on something that is a known problem.

Mine goes in Friday, it has the 3/4 inch gap where the top meets the rear deck lid. They say after the dealership looks it over GM will "discuss" the option of "price relief" on fixing it. Fingers crossed GM will step up on this. Its a 2011 with 18,000 miles

If they don't step up try emailing and calling GM directly. With only 18k they should helping substantially.
I had mine done under warranty. But I know of 2 people that were out of the warranty by over 10k miles and they still replaced at no cost. It did require calling GM to get it done.
