Spare Tire set up for ZL1?
I've seen plenty of spare tire set ups for the SS/1LE and I had one for my SS a few years ago but now with my ZL1 I need to get a spare as I'm driving it more between cities and there is absolutely nothing in the middle of them!
Looking for ideas and if anybody has a solution of then what GM stuck us with.....Thank you

ghostrider2, the SS kits will work on a ZL1.
the most important part is the spacer. mine is 2 1/2 inches thick. remember that the rear wheels (11 inches wide) will not go on the front of your car. the wheel/tire will hit the strut

Yes
Remember that the rear wheel won't go on the front. So if you have a rear flat, you will want to put the spare on the front (same side as flat) and move the good front tire to replace the flat tire on the rear. You do this to minimize the wear on the differential

I just bought a 10" replica and put a used gyf1 on it and carry it in the back seat for long trips, backseat because I have a sub box in the truck

with a 275/35 on the front and 305/35 on the the rear. My fear by putting the front on the rear is thrashing my rear end because of the size difference. When I got my tires there weren't allot of choices on the market and the few that were, were hard to find in stock. I'll be replacing my Mickey Thompson's next summer, they are awesome tires but I think I might try something different, just because.
