Trans temp gauge for M6

Has anyone add a trans temp gauge for their M6?

I want to monitor my trans temp and am thinking about adding a A-Pillar gauge pod. My problem is where and how to the sending unit.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Trans already has a temp sensor in it wired in so just put in the factory gauge cluster in the console.
Thats what I did. I originally bought an Aeroforce gauge but it doesnt read manual for some reason.

I added 2 gauges in the center speaker area. I don't understand the point of gauges that are out of line of sight and hard to see when driving fast. Oil temp and pressure in my case, trans has a giant cooler so no concerns other than shifter bushings that have turned to goo from too many sustained heat sessions. Total replacement coming when I'm back on the same continent as car in a couple years.

Yes I could go with the console gauges.

However the reason I want to add the gauges on the A-pillar is for visibility.

I road race the car and want to monitor the oil & trans temps. Looking down at the console area while on the track isn't a good idea.

Thanks
Craig

Smile NGauge w/ defroster pod for Sale

If you really want a quality gauge that can monitor more than just your trans temp, I have a brand new (still in box) NGauge for sale with defroster gauge pod all all connectors and SD card. Even comes with the connection piece for the suction cup mount if you decide to go that route instead.

heat isn't generally an issue with manual trannies, imo it's not worth installing one unless you race the vehicle regulary

Is yours a manual in the pic? Aeroforce wont read temp in a manual car for some reason.

The picture is just for reference of the Gauge Pod not of the gauge itself. I am selling an NGauge. I can't say it will read trans temp in an manual car or not since that't not my car. (picture from the internet for reference). I don't see why it wouldn't read trans temp though, it does a plethora of stuff.
