Don hand held works, but its not as good as a custom tune... I have a hand held tune in now and not happy with it at all, but it works to get all the codes from coming up, once I get settled in NC going to get a custom tune in the spring. most likey a place in Tampa been hearing good things about, the only thing that I learned is the tuners lock the BCM when they tune it, so you have to go back to the person who tuned it and I hate that part, had to replace my BCM cause I was not happy with the shifting of my last custom tune..

I would go with a dyno tune if possible. I think a hand held would run you at least a couple hunder dollars, and at least in Norcal, it would be $350-400 for a tune with your mods.

Ask around about JRE Custom tuning Via the SCT X3 or new iTSX.

JRE World Class Tuning Provides Spot on Tunes for your Mods Mild to Wild.

custom tune by an ECU Jockey that is worth his salt
will stomp any hand held programer device

sitting in the car on the dyno in person is priceless
even the most talented of the EFI tuning community will be forced
to leave "something on the table" when mailing in thier work

the farther the car has deviated from stock,
the less applicable a pre-baked tune becomes

Your entitled to your Opinion, and Your Right about off the Shelf Tuners.

When it comes to Using a Remote Custom Tuning Device Like SCT, I beg to Differ, I fix a Lot of Dyno Tunes.

Remote tuning is No different than actually sitting in the car I do it Daily.

Some of the Fastest cars in the country are Custom Tuned By JRE Remotely.

What Separates JRE from the Local Dyno tuner is Experience.

Electronic connections are the same no matter the length of the cord It is the Person Tuning that makes the Difference.

I do REAL Custom Remote Tuning and I leave Nothing on the Table.

Ted.

I'm not disputing that a car can be tuned well remotely.

But most tuners would prefer to be on site with the vehicle (dyno and fine tuning on the street or at the track)

I'm sure Jannetty would prefer to have a car in his shop vs. trying to tune someones car in someones driveway in Nebraska.

But as mentioned, the skill of the tuner is the most important factor.

Me too. What's not to like? Can't imagine there's room for improvement. Seems flawless.
