IMO, the black wheels would look better. I love the sinister look though. Just as many people, if not more, would say polished looks better though. So it's a matter of what you think looks better. Luckily my wife was kind enough to rule black out so I don't have to make that decision.

I've been bouncing back and forth between Ashen Gray and IBM. I'm more of a stealthy person, and while I like the bright colors, they are just not me.

I think I'm pretty settled on Ashen Gray though, but sometimes I waver, especially when I see that awesome pic of the IBM ZL1 from the ring.

IBM looks awesome in certain lighting conditions and I like it better than the gray during these times. However, at least to me, as awesome as it is, it gives me mixed feelings in other lighting conditions. I'm just a little too wishy-washy on IBM.

So, Ashen Gray it is.... I think.

No problem with what color car I want. Black wheels, grilles and mohawk are great accents to white which is my choice, but I will have one color issue, even though I have never let it stop me before. GREEN!!! ....as in MOOLA!!! I am diagnosed compulsive/obsessive and proved it yesterday by walking in having decided between a new 60" and 70" LED t.v. and the salesman says; "They reduced the price of the 80"" I will find a way to get the ZL1 but wish that eight speed automatic would hurry up.

Victory Red or Ashen Gray.

If this the Ashen Gray isn't available I will default to Red.

But either one will have the Carbon Fiber insert and black wheels.

Ashen Gray with black stripes will look straight up mean. But, sit at a corner and watch the cars go by for a while and all you see are blacks, grays, whites and silvers. Very boring in my opinion to just look like every other car on the road. Go with one of the reds, yellow or IOM, imo.

.

Black is awesome, sinister, wonderful. It doesn't contrast with the other black pieces though. Exposed carbon would partially fix this. If I can get exposed carbon with black, that's likely...

but Ashen Grey would contrast everything subtly & be easier to keep fine & shiny - I think. Gold highlights rather than blue... not sure. Must see first.

IBM - close to the perfect metallic color. I even love it when it looks black or purplish.

Conclusion: I have three different ways to be happy.

I would say that's up to the the individual and his preferences. I can add that I think the five spoked polished wheels, when powder coated in a "midnight" or "midnight chrome"<not actually chrome, but a dark powder coating that has a subdued reflective effect, with a darker finish> look stunning. It would be an additional cost, and it's been done with the polished wheels since their advent.

I am partial to the black 10 spokes, but..., the Boss has the final say...

I hear ya' Shure 100%. That 'Ring photo, plus the convertible picture releases have me leaning towards the GLJ. That color looks non-terrestrial. It's out of this world. Imagine people sitting at the red light watching you tool by in a GLJ ZL1 with black 10 spokes and CF hood...that's going to be a Close Encounter Of The Second Kind experience to them I imagine...LOL....
