Does anyone know The location of The alternator on a 2011 Chevy Camaro LS 3.6L LS V6?

Video Will be more helpful

Just follow the belts, eliminate what is crank/cam/idler pulleys and that should be the alt.

FYI if I think about it in a few I'll go look at mine.

The alternator location will be on the right side facing drivers sea. ??

How does AutoZone test alternator?

Ok, the alternator is on the passenger side about midway down the motor. Look for a pulley attached to a silver round thing with vents. You can see the winding through the vents. You more than likely will have to remove it for AZ to test it unless they use a meter. If you know your way around a volt meter you can test it yourself. Or if you know someone that has a meter and knows how to use it they can do it. You will need to know what the output is supposed to be, but it will be more than 12V.

In the old days a quick and dirty test was to start the car, then unhook one of the battery cables. If the car died or faltered any at all the alternator was bad. I am not sure if they are still that way, but I would assume so.

Do not do that on a modern ECU controled vehicle!!
