All kidding aside, I was told that my ZL1 convertible in BRM would be an extremely rare car.....like 1 in 60. I know once you start adding color, transmission choice, NAV, you can quickly get to a 1 in 20 car that doesn't mean anything. And for the record I have no disillusions that I have a car that should be moth-balled because it's going to be worth a fortune in 50 years. I intend to drive the hell out of it and enjoy every damned mile, gallon of gas, quart of oil, brake pad and tire.

Do not forget every smile and grin as you step on the gas pedal.

Not offended.....drove a coupe for years (30) bought a convertible because I wanted one. And fact, everyone knows convertibles hold their value better than coupes. Look at corvettes and mustangs, the convertibles just hold their value better. Over the long term this only gets better for convertibles. Being that there are fewer of them, convertibles can command a higher price. Remember that if you're looking for a coupe there are currently 9,000+ 2012's and '13's around. Convertibles? Maybe under 1,000? I'll probably sell mine after a few years, just prior to the summer rush and get the corvette. Just love cars too much to hold on to one very long.

I hear ya, I used to be like that with bikes every 2 years got a new one,Finally found one I truly loved in 98 still have it ,no desire to get a new one lol.Mind you with cars that gets expensive cause you gonna take a beating at dealership, less when you sell privately but a loss none the less. New cars arent an investment overall.
