That`s alright and if you have another triple digit heat wave this summer like you did last summer I`ll give you a little shout-out too!
http://www.star-telegram.com/2010/08...miserable.html DFW's heat wave has been miserable, dangerous Posted Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 By Melody McDonald mjmcdonald@star-telegram.com When the mercury rises, so does the number of visitors to infirmaries and emergency rooms. This summer, 132 people have been treated for heat-related illnesses in the emergency room of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, compared with 86 during the same period last year. "We are seeing anything from someone passing out while working in the heat to patients who are so severely dehydrated that they are having kidney failure," said Dr. Robert Gullinese, an emergency room doctor at Harris Methodist. "People don't realize how hot it has actually been." Temperatures reached 102 degrees Tuesday, marking the 18th consecutive day of triple-digit heat in the Metroplex. The hot, dry conditions prompted Tarrant County officials to issue a burn ban. And the heat wave likely isn't over. Although a heat advisory probably won't be issued for today, the forecast calls for a high of 99 or 100. For the rest of the week and weekend, highs are expected to stay in the 100s. |

THat is to funny. I did the same thing to my son who lives in Vermont on the first day of Winter when it was 74 degrees in Texas. Ten he told me thanks it was only 3 up there.

I've lived in Texas all of my life so honestly, I don't mind the heat all that much in the summer. It's the fact that it's 73 when it's supposed to be in the 30's that gets me. I thought I'd show those up north complaining about having to store their camaros till spring how the other side gets to live.
I've never suffered heat stroke or had any heat related issues other than literally going blind once while exercising from not eating for over 24 hours and even then, I didn't lose consciousness. Maybe some people can't handle the heat, but to them I say they probably shouldn't be living in Texas. |

Congrats. You got a nice day. You'll get yours pal. Winter in DFW is a fickle beast. 73 one day and 25 the next, and winter aint over yet. How do I know this? Well I'll tell ya. I used to live in Farmers Branch and I went to High school at R.L. Turner in Carrolton. GO LIONS!!! |
