If it makes sense for you to go there for Dyno tuning then by all means. I mean if they are like 5 miles away and $100 cheaper than the next place I might have a hard time passing up on it also. I have personally driven from Madison, WI down to Speed Inc. just to get a tour of their shop and chit chat with them (ended up doing the work myself) and I feel they really know their stuff and they have plenty of nice Camaro's done by them here on the forum. They would be my first choice FWIW

In terms of labor, I would look into Grossinger Chevrolet in Palatine. They are a hidden gem and are really working towards becoming more performance orientated. They recently hired a well known GM master mechanic who specializes in GM performance.
Talk to Brian the services manager. Tell him Ryan with the black vortech camaro sent ya.

Modern Muscle! Great costumer service and quality work. I had headers and a tune done by Total Power in St. Charles and they totally F'd the tune. Modern Muscle fixed my tune, gave me a list of 15+ things that were wrong with it, and gained 35 RWHP from the original post header tune. They have an open house / dyno day on the 28th, they usually have a sale on parts and labor they offer during these as well. Cheers!

What I can tell you from personal experience is that there are quite a few good shops in the Western Suburbs of Chicago and some not so good.
When it comes to Camaros of any generation I have to say that in my opinion that you can not go wrong with Nickey Chicago, in St Charles. They custom built Nickey #21 for me, The Nickey "Blackjack". This car has performed flawlessly. Their work even earned a 997/1000 points in concourse Gold Judging. I missed some dust as I do drive my car on a regular basis, weather permitting. It has been back to their shop for upgrades and maintenance, but there have been no issues with the quality of workmanship and when I get my car back from them there are not a bunch of new scratches, scrapped wheels and/or dings to deal with. You would be surprised at the research, development and feedback which Nickey provides to the MFGs of many of the popular products we use on our Camaros. Plus, the owner his wife and the Sales Manager all drive 5th gen Camaros! Go out and check them out, there is always something special going on there.
