I had the exact same issue when I tore mine down. That hose sees alot of heat. It was soft and falling apart

As I praise for one thing I’d like to give some people some heads up on another. If you’re thinking about getting a cam for your car I would suggest staying away from the Texas speed stage 2 that I purchased. It is the meanest sounding idling cam out there but cannot be tuned for the street at all. Once again not mean mouthing the company at all as they were quite friendly but the cam I purchased definitely is not street-able. It’s ok if you keep your rpm around 3000 RPM but under that there is bucking. And on the highway at 60 mph you can not let of the throttle on big hills and coast. You have to push the clutch in. The bucking has to be hard on driveline. I plan on taking this cam out in the fall and replacing it with something more stretchable. Again just trying to give a heads up to anyone looking at cams.

I kept getting error code 0556 - Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. I checked the hose and it was super spongy on the engine side and had a pinhole leak. Replaced it and has been fine since.

I’ve been lucky there, I’ve never got any error messages for vacuum leaks or anything. I found a very tiny leak in my oil catch can when I put the smoke machine to the motor
