So, it's not worth me having to buy another set of headers and pay another $400 to replace them again for virtually no gains and maybe even lose torque down low.

I can tell by the brand of header you have that your not a fan, just like me, of not paying $1200 for bent metal tubing... I’ll never buy kooks, ARH, or stainless works on principle that they way over charge. My argument isn’t based on cubes rather RPM. I promise with any cam choice you make, the car will benefit from having an 1 7/8 primary over the 1 3/4. That tick cam will make power to 7 grand. I bet at 6,500 she starts to choke.

Stock cam scales all the way to 2". It starts tapering off hard at 1 7/8 on stock cam but 5hp is still extra 5 hp over the 1 7/8. Any aftermarket cam is going to be screwed on 1 3/4.

Unless I'm going big cubes or forced induction I'm not giving up much of anything with the 1 3/4 and more torque down low. I want to change it the harmonic balancer anyway because they are crap and wobble , so might as well do the UD pulley.
I had a tick stage 3 polluter cam and it was badass tons of low end tq

With a solid bolt on list no reason you cant clear 480. Personally the split doesnt need to be that much but to each grinders own theory lol I cleared 500 with a 226/236 cam and 530 with a SS4

It’s all good it’s your car do what you want.
But I can’t agree.
What I'm saying is that I'm not seeing how spending another $400 installation labor and another $300 for 1 7/8" headers is going to be a wise choice, to gain 5 hp at 6500 rpm?? It just doesn't make any financial sense to switch them. I got the 1 3/4 for headers for $200 shipped brand new.

With a cam it won't be just 5 hp it will scale up into the double digits pretty easily.
